1.  宿舍床上只有床板,请携带小褥子等相关物品。报到时缴纳报名费100元,住宿费每天20元。

i.         上午 9:00复赛 。复赛时间为一个半小时左右,笔试,无选择及填空题,主要题型为问答、翻译和写作,部分题目需要计算机知识。

ii.      下午 2:304:30济南草蜢人有限公司 总裁 MR.EDMOND 题目: 国际服务外包在中国的发展及中国的发展机遇。

c)      724 培训

i.         上午 9:0011:00济南双泽翻译公司总裁 张勇先生 题目:国际化人才的需求及发展前景。结束后宣布决赛名单。

ii.      下午 决赛选手准备决赛题目,其余选手可离营

d)      725日,英语组决赛及外语总决赛

i.         上午,进行英语组决赛

ii.      下午, 进入英语组前五名的选手乘车前往山东交通学院长清校区参加外语总决赛(与日语组前五名一起),评出外语组特等奖。

General Requirements for the Presentation:

This final competition adopts the form of PRESENTATION, which is divided into MONOLOGUE and QUESTIONS & ANSWERS. The total time length for each participant is 10 minutes, in which 5 minutes for the MONOLOGUE and 5 minutes for QUESTIONS & ANSWERS.

 

There are overall three topics you can choose among for the final competition. Please read carefully before choose.

 

The participants should hand in their chosen topic and the final version of their PPT one day ahead of the competition to the organization committee. If there is any need to replace the PPT on the very competition date, please feel free to contact us.

 

 

For further supplementary requirements, please refer to the specific cases.

For the slides, it is suggested that the following components should be your optional features, depending on your case choice:

1. Cover Page. (Topic chosen, names of the participant, name of school, Date)

2. An outline of the overall presentation of the SUBJECT.

3. Object/purpose of the Subject presentation.

4. Introduction of Subject.

5. Facts and interpretation.

6. Key points analysis.

7. Conclusion.

8. References (Internet sources, books, journals, the PPT of Project Management and Standardized Company Management lectured by SUNTHER days ago, and so on).

9. Final Words/ illustrations/ pictures.

 

You can do your presentation through using a lot of formats, such as statements, charts, pictures, examples etc., innovative ones are encouraged.

Oral Competition Cases:

Case One: Market Research Plan

Scenario:

 

Picture yourself in the position of the division manager of the marketing department of a leading technology service company, named AIR, whose main domain is the cell phone area.

 

AIR is now facing an increasing competitive threat brought by foreign competitors like Apple and Nokia; and at the same time, it is losing its edge, to a great degree, because the R&D department has not launched competitive new products for quite a long time.

 

The CEO realized this problem and extremely worried about the devastated potential that may follow. He wants to report to the Board a proposal of new product line developing. For this purpose, he wants the market research to be done all over again. As the division manager of marketing, you are assigned the task of doing this research.

 

Please make a presentation to show your considerations and plan for implementing the task and report to the judges, who are assumed as the CEO and will ask you some relevant questions afterwards.

 

HINTS:

 

You may include the following in your plan:

Describe the object and aim, scope, population of your research;

relevant assumptions may be illustrated if necessary.

 

Define the method(s) you choose to collect data, and give a general idea about the design of your method(s). (Note: if you are going to adopt the QUESTIONNARIE, it would be better to provide a sample.)

 

State the team structure you will organize to perform this market research and give corresponding short descriptions to each position within the structure.

 

Estimate the approximate timeframe you need to run the research and give a simple schedule for the stages.

 

If there is any, possible limitations to the application of the data from your research should be listed.

 

Case Two: Quality Plan

Scenario:

 

Over the past five years, the Kennedy County Council has recorded a dramatic increase in road traffic volumes between Bushfield Road and Clinton Avenue.

 

The traffic services department of the Kennedy County Council has therefore decided to upgrade the Bushfield Road/Clinton Avenue arterial route by widening the road, upgrading its surface and constructing new feeder roads onto and off this central roadway. This project must be completed within 12 months and the majority of work must be performed between 7 pm and 6 am to ensure that the public traffic is not unduly affected.

 

The highway construction firm “TechTar Roads Ltd.” has been awarded the contract by the council to complete this project, and you are assigned as the Project Manager. After producing a project plan, you think it necessary to make a comprehensive quality plan to identify the quality targets, specify the quality assurance and control measures undertaken throughout the project lifecycle for achieving the targets.

 

As the project manager, what are your considerations before making this plan? Please list them in your prepared slides and explain.

 

HINTS:

Your considerations may include:

1    Identify the quality targets (how to know);

2    Identify the constraints of this project;

3    Define relevant roles of key members such as Quality Manager and the Project Manager of the quality assurance team;

4    Specify activities to be undertaken to monitor and control the quality;

5    Documentation;

6    Other factors;

7    Reference and Appendix.

 

Case Three: Pricing Report

Scenario:

 

The firm you are working for is BOX INTELL Inc., an Indian IT company who is primarily offering program developing and maintenance service to its customer. Within the program developing domain, BOX INTELL is growing quite fast comparing to its competitors, due to its endeavoring to provide its customers superior and continuous service and also much longer warranty of normally 5 years.

 

Recently, BOX INTELL got the chance of bidding for a project of developing a special program for a European company, M&M, which is within the international Top 500. BOX INTELL wants to get this onerous project really badly, either from a tactical or a strategic angle, becoming the contractor of developing this program is quite beneficial to its future.

 

What if you are appointed as the financial manager of BOX INTELL Inc., and the Board is asking you to hand in a pricing report for the bidding of the M&M’s project, without sacrificing your firm’s tenet: superior and continuous service.

 

Please outline the main concerns come to you before making this report in the form of PPT.

 

HINTS:

 

In the pricing report, some or all of the following aspects may be mentioned:

 

1.   The Constitution of the Price

2.   Payment Methods

Lump sum or installments etc.

3.   Timing of Payment

Advance payment (whether deposit is in need?)

Interim payment (whether application form is required?)

Delayed payment (when and who has the authority to give permission to the delayed payments? Under what situation the client has the priviledge to put off the schemed payments?)

Schedule of payments (is it based on the progress schedule?)

Payment of Retention Money   (under what circumstance does the employer have the authority to refuse to pay the contractor the retention money?)

4.   Currencies of Payment
